Tuning in to Kids® (Ballarat / Sunshine) - early matters

A free, 6-session program to help parents and carers in specific areas of Ballarat and Sunshine.

Learn how to understand your child’s feelings, communicate well and manage conflict in healthy ways.

What this group can help with

This 6-session program can help you to:

  • understand your child’s feelings, including anger, sadness or worry
  • understand how your child’s feelings impact their behaviour
  • understand and manage feelings that come up for you as a parent
  • connect and talk with your child in positive ways
  • support your child as they develop social skills
  • manage your child’s challenging behaviours
  • help your child express emotions and respond to their feelings in appropriate ways.

This knowledge will support your child’s emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is a skill that helps children and adults to be more resilient, have healthy relationships, and manage hard experiences.

Please note: Only parents/carers attend programs. Children cannot be present during sessions.
