Narrative Therapy

Learn strategies to help clients re-script their narratives and focus on their core values and behaviours.

Narrative therapy is a technique that aims to separate the individual from the problem, allowing them to externalise their issues rather than internalising them. It relies on the individual's own skills and sense of purpose to guide them through challenging times.

Learning outcomes

At the end of this workshop, you'll be able to:

  • apply the underlying theoretical frameworks and principles of Narrative Therapy as a therapeutic model and understand its applications
  • apply Narrative Therapy approaches and techniques to help clients to make meaningful change
  • understand where and when Narrative Therapy may be useful for clients and integrating parts of the model in practice.

Ideal for

Clinicians, social workers, community organisation workers, health professionals, youth workers, child and family workers and counsellors at any level of experience.
