An educational and supportive group program for women who have experienced family violence or control in a relationship, and want to regain their sense of empowerment.
What to expect
In this small-group program, you'll join other women and an experienced facilitator to:
- share your experiences
- receive and offer support
- start to rebuild your sense of self-worth and power
- understand that what happened was not your fault.
You'll also learn about a range of topics including:
- family relationships and parenting
- patterns of behaviour
- how family violence impacts adults and children
- healthy relationships and safety
- managing conflict and anger
- self-care and wellbeing
- where to find more information and support.
Who can attend
Women who live in or are connected to the local government areas of Boroondara, Manningham, Monash, Whitehorse, Knox, Maroondah, and/or Yarra Ranges.
Please note: To join this program, you must be separated from and living apart from the perpetrator of the violence.
Babies and children are not able to attend.
